Hi dear KET students!

Today you've done a listening paper and we've corrected your homework (a test from the book and lots of exam part 7 practice). You've also done speaking practice in pairs.

Next week (Monday 18th) you are going to do a Reading and Writing paper in class, so make sure you're on time, don't be late!

As homework, I've given the students who are taking the exam on 2nd June a complete Exam. You have to do it at home during this week and you have to correct it yourselves at home. Give it to me on Monday and I'll correct the writing and calculate your overall result.

Remember that it's very important to:

- Practice SPEAKING at home, with the list of questions that I gave you. You can practice with parents, brother or sisters, cousins or with your classmates (it's a good idea that you practice a lot with the classmate that you're going to do the real exam with).

- Revise the vocabulary list

- Revise all the grammar and activities that we've done from the  book and the exams that you've already done.

 Only two weeks to do the actual exam!!! Come on, you can do it!!

For next week, you have to do the Exam Practice from your book. From pages 137 to page 156, do ONLY the activities "EXAM PRACTICE".

KET 23-04 - Homework

Hi everyone,

Today we have checked the exam that you did last week (the most common mistakes you make), we've gone through the vocabulary list and translated a few words and we've also learned a new verb tense to talk about the future: will /won't + infinitive (Example: I will pass the exam --> aprobaré el examen).

Our next Class is on Monday 7th May, which means that you have to work very hard at home. The next weeks are very important as you're taking the exam on the 2nd June, so you have to work very hard!!

Hi KET students!

Last week, we checked all our homework, explained and practised Past Continuous and did some exercises from unit 8. We've also explained how to complete a KET Answer Sheet and done a complete Listening Paper.

Remember that next Monday the class will be from 16.30 to 18.00 in Room 4C, the teacher Ana will be with you.

As we won't have class on Monday 19th because it's Father's Day, this is your homework for the next weeks:

- For Tuesday 20th March (in the morning, look for me around the school): Finish Exam 4 (the photocopies I gave you last week). You have to transfer your answers to the Answer Sheet. Those who didn't come, here you have the audios:

Yesterday we corrected our homework and did lots of exercises from unit 8.

- Irregular Verb List on page 113. Study from the beginning up to SING-SANG-SUNG (the three columns: infinitive-past simple-past participle). 

- Study the Vocabulary List. Yesterday we translated the words from the sections: APPLIANCES and COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY. 

- Page 66, exercise 1. Read the text. 

- Photocopy, EXAM TEST 4 --> Parts 2, 5 and 7.

Hi everyone!

Today in class we've continued studying the Past Simple of the verb  BE and the other verbs (regular and irregular). You've got a good explanation on your book, on page 125.

I've explained the pronunciation of the regular verbs in -ed. I recommend that you watch this video with a clear explanation.

We've also explained the Marking Scheme for the Writing part 9 and I've corrected your pieces of writing.

This is your homework for next week:

-Study the Irregular Verbs from the list on page 133, from BE to LET (the column on the left)
- Study the vocabulary list, the sections that we've already studied.
- Page 63, revision exercises 1, 2, 4, and 5.

Hi Ket students!

Last Monday we did lots of activities from Unit 3, and I asked you to do some grammar activities related to countable/uncountable nouns:

- Page 26, Grammar exercises 6, 7
- Page 27, grammar exercises 1, 3, 4
- Page 28, vocabulary, exercise 3

Remember: 

• We use SOME/ANY with countable and uncountable nouns:

- Some --> Affirmative sentences, offers and requests. For instance: I want some water /Would you like some orange juice?

Any --> Negative sentences and questions. For example: I don't want any rice / Have we got any lemons?

• How much....? + Uncountable nouns -- How much rice do you want? (¿Cuánto...?)
• How many...? + Uncountable nouns -- How many students are there? (Cuántos...?)
• A few + countable nouns -- I've got a few friends (Unos cuantos amigos/Unos pocos amigos)
• A little + uncountable nouns -- We've got a little bread (un poco de pan)
• A lot + plural countable or uncountable nouns -- There are a lot of carrots in the fridge. (muchas zanahorias)

Important!! Due to the celebration of Teacher's Day, there's no class next Monday. So, see you next Monday 4th December!

Yesterday we practised speaking part 1 (talking about the weekend) and speaking part 2. We checked the homework (grammar: present simple) and we started unit 2. We did the listening, grammar and speaking exercises from pages 16,17 and 18.

Your homework for next week is:

- Page 20, grammar exercise 2 / vocabulary exercise 1

Also, the students who didn't do the writing from the page 13 (exercise 3) must do it for next Monday.
